MIRORI (Margarita Mironova) is a Lisbon-based figurative artist working in oil painting and mixed media. Born in Kaliningrad, on the south-eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, she studied Environmental Design at Moscow State University before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
Her practice explores the emotional and symbolic dimensions of human experience, focusing on themes of memory, connection, longing, transformation and the fragile boundaries between inner and outer worlds. Combining figurative imagery with symbolic elements drawn from nature, personal narratives and philosophical reflection, she creates works that invite contemplation and emotional resonance.
Working primarily with oil paint while incorporating textile, thread and mixed-media elements, Mironova is interested in making intangible experiences visible. Her paintings balance realism and symbolism, often portraying moments of quiet introspection, emotional tension and human vulnerability.
Based in Lisbon, she continues to develop a body of work that examines the relationships between memory, identity and the unseen forces that shape our lives.
